Goodwill of Orange County
Goodwill of Orange County opened its doors in 1924 and has since become a leading service provider and employer with more than 900 employees and an annual budget of more than $75 million. Their mission is to provide people with disabilities and other barriers the opportunity to achieve their highest levels of personal and economic independence, and they do that by offering education, training and employment services.
Goodwill of Orange County has a strong, sustainable business model and believes their greatest advantage is their engaged workforce. Last year, Goodwill of OC approached Vubiz to further develop their workforce by offering management and supervisory training online. Corporate trainer Veronica Herrera was looking to upgrade staff skills economically so she chose a custom library of courses suited for her workforce. Herrera says the program is working very well, “Through Vubiz, Goodwill of Orange County has been able to provide software and management skills training. The online training format gives the managers the opportunity to access vital information anytime and from anywhere. The tools are great resources for managers to use within their current system.” Herrera is able to update her custom online catalogue with new and timely courses to fit her training needs.
Goodwill of Orange County is a responsible non-profit agency and is recognized as one of the seven Best Companies to Work for in Orange County by OC Metro Magazine and has consistently received a four-star rating from independent charity evaluators. ![]()
