DaVita is a leading provider of dialysis services in the U.S. serving 110,000 patients with 1400 outpatient dialysis facilities and acute units in more than 700 hospitals. DaVita serves patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) all over the United States with more than 32,000 employees. DaVita revenues are growing and are now nearly $6 billion.

Vubiz led the partnership with DaVita to develop successful solutions that have improved learning effectiveness, aligned business objectives and produced operational savings.

Custom content was developed to meet the needs of four groups within the DaVita organization: the IT Training Group, Revenue Operations, Compliance and Leadership Training. Originally Vubiz designed e-learning to meet the requirement of an OIG Corporate Integrity Agreement: this content was designed to SCORM specifications for use on their LMS to meet compliance reporting requirements for the U.S. federal government. The solution included the creation of 18 modules for the entire employee base of the company (approximately 32,000 employees).

The Vubiz strong track record of success with DaVita was extended to the DaVita Revenue Operations Process with the entire redevelopment of blended training for a critical software system used for billing operations. Vubiz was also brought in to create an entire e-learning suite of software learning programs for several key systems. The ‘Learn it Now!’ Gateway, a learning-on-demand solution, helped employees fill learning-loss gaps. This web-based solution both improved learning effectiveness and lowered Help Desk calls significantly.

In 2008, Vubiz assisted Executive Development through the deployment of a short-format learning resource (getAbstract) targeted at the top executive echelon of 400 people through DaVita’s “Wisdom Group”.
